How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I now live a decent life, these transfers made it possible for me to sleep on a mattress, bed and in an iron roofed house. Furthermore, I acquired a solar system that lights my house at night. Previously, I slept in grass thatched hut that could leak whenever it rained and on a mat because I didn't have a mattress and a bed.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that helped me settle debts, start up a business and construct an iron roofed house. GiveDirectly has only done well on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase livestock, household items, paid medical bills and debts that I had. In addition, I started a business of selling pork and bought foodstuffs.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that, I sleep well because previously I used to sleep in a dilapidated house which leaked on us whenever it rained. I was able to construct a iron roofed house of two rooms which is spacious enough for me and the children. The children will sleep in the living room while I and my spouse will occupy the bedroom. Prior to this transfer, We shared a small grass thatched house with the children which was so small for all of us. It was a shame to share a small room with children. I thank GD for delivering me from this shame because I can now walk with my head high.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment this transfer hit my account, I was so pleased and I thanked God for giving me this wonderful chance to receive unconditional cash. I also thanked GD and the staff and blessed them for God to keep the Organization prosperous such that they continue with the good work of helping other help people as well.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on acquiring building materials and commenced its construction. As I talk right now the house is in finishing stages. I also bought poultry for raring for future investment. The remaining money I used on medical bills and feeding.
