Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I never thought that I would build a house and have electricity in it. This is the biggest difference in my daily life. We used Give Directly transfers to build the house and install electricity.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Our financial burdens will be lighter in the next six months. Our children will also be joining secondary school so I expect to work hard in horticulture, plant tea leaves and the shop also. The tea plantation however is a long-term investment that I will venture into and get income from it.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different because we own a calf now in addition to having a house and electricity. I am also less burdened financially because I was able to buy food for my family so the funds that I get from casual work goes to school fee and buying pesticides for my farm instead of food. Thank you for the transfer.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
We live near the main road so my new goal is to put up a shop because it will be strategic and we will get funds from it.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use my first transfer to buy a dairy cow and the second one to improve my horticultural farming, this will uplift my source of income.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Despite my low paying casual job, I was able to save some cash and later bought a small piece of land, this is something I am seeing as exra ordinary and I am so proud of it.
