How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is is now different as I now have enough food for the entire household,,I have been able to purchase a new land and I have also bought some beddings for me and my children.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly gives people unconditional cash which helps them to improve their living standards.. it also helps in empowering people as they get to decide by themselves on how to spent the cash.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The cash was used to purchase iron sheets which he will use when building his new house...Some of the cash has been saved so that it can be used to pay the builders and buy some remaining building materials.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy and am always grateful for the transfer received.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been able to buy iron sheets which i could havw not managed to buy on my own. Again, we are able to eat at our house than never before.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I managed to buy iron sheets, blankets,fertilizer and some bags of maize. I was also struggling to cultivate my maize field and i used part of the money to hire labour.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means that I have now found some capital to start a small scale business. This is because I want to sustain my life after GD has left us.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Iam usually happiest and more productive in the afternoon as i feel sleepy and weak in the morning and at night because I spend most of the nights at the lake fishing.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Basically, I lack money to buy basic necessities of life such as food.
