How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am a member of One Acre Fund which is an organization that supplies us with quality farm products on credit at the beginning of each farming season. Due to lack of any proper income, paying for the items supplied used to be very tough and I would mostly be forced to sell the farm produce immediately after harvesting to raise the money which mostly left me very little for own use. With the transfers I have been receiving, I have always managed to pay for the farm inputs on time and don't have to sell my produce at a throwaway price in order to raise the money to clear the debt. This means that I can now keep all my produce which I can decide to sell later on when the prices are competitive in case I have excess to raise money for other projects.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My house is currently being attacked by termites especially on the roof where the roofing timber has been greatly affected. My goal is to re-roof the entire house because using pesticides on the roof has not worked at all in the past. This would be the best long-lasting solution towards this problem, therefore, I will be channelling my transfers towards buying new roofing materials so that by the time the project ends, I will be in a safe place with no worries of my roof caving in on me at any moment.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I did not have decent seats in my house and would have to borrow from my neighbours whenever I had visitors, something that was very embarrassing. Within the past four months, I can pride myself of having bought a five-seater semi sofa set that now makes my house very neat and I am even more pleased about the fact that I no longer have to borrow from my neighbours whenever I have visitors. I also feel very confident hosting church members and other friends because I don't have to worry about where they will sit.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My biggest wish is to ensure that my house is renovated especially the roof that is currently under attack by termites that may soon destroy the timber on the roof. I have put into place ways of saving these transfer through purchasing cereals which I will later sell when the prices have gone up and buy the required materials. This is also a way of preventing me from spending the money which is very possible if I have it at hand. I know that I will be living in a better house in six months because I by then, the

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was before Give Directly came into my life in that I no longer purchase maize floor. Since I started receiving the transfer from this institution, I was able to boost my farming. My produce is more than what I used to get before; It can last me for longer periods before buying new stock. This is cheaper compared to buying from the market or other people's farm. I really thank Give Directly for giving me this help because my life has improved. I am stable financially, health-wise and economically
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I don't have any additional goal. I want to put more efforts on my farm in order to get a good harvest. I feel like if I start another project I will not be able to efficiently do my do farming. I want to use the little resources that I have to ensure that I get the best out of it. Since it is my first time cultivating the whole of this land, I have ended up using most of the transfers on it. This is the biggest risk I have ever taken but I believe It is a well-calculated risk and I will be able to change my life out of this.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have been able to improve my farming experience. This has been made possible thanks to the transfers, I was able to buy hybrid seeds and fertilizer, with these I am sure that the farm yield for the forthcoming season will be good and healthy.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am planning to buy a cow in the next six months in remembrance of Give Directly. I chose to buy a cow because as long as it is well taken care of it will serve you for the rest of your life. They usually give birth after a short period of time and the require little attention as long as they are healthy and have enough fees. Their feeds are locally available and can easily be grown in this area. This means that one cow will grow and reproduce and with this I will forever have to remember to Give Directly.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, there has not been much change as compared to before. This is because the proceeds from farming are not yet ready but I anticipate a drastic change once I harvest. I will utilize the income earned from the farm proceed to offset fee balances that are currently a major problem in my household. This will mean minimal disruptions for my kids in their education.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, |I am planning to start up poultry farming. This will help boost my income and even assist me in paying school fees for my grandchild and meeting other basic household needs from the sales made.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I was able to buy high breed maize seeds and fertilizer in preparation of the planting season. This will guarantee me a bumper harvest during the reaping season. With the income from the proceeds, I will be able to meet my basic household needs and even pay school fees for my children. Initially, I could not afford good quality seeds and fertilizer so my proceeds were not even a hand full. My farming had minimal returns hence was left struggling even after harvesting.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Currently, we live in a semi-permanent house. In the next six months, with the income I will receive from my farming and the monthly transfers, I am planning to set aside some amount and build a permanent structure. This will make my home look more presentable.
