How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goals is to build a better shelter for me and my family.
Also, I run a provision shop, my plan has been to borrow money to purchase additional goods, so as to expand my business. when GiveDirectly sent me my second transfer my plan to borrow money to add up my business was cancelled.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly should continue to give out direct cash transferred to poor people.

I want to build a better shelter for my family, so when I received my second transfer I bought two bundles of roofing sheets. Also, I'm a small business owner,I used portion of my transfer to buy more goods to expand my business, with this new expansion my sales will increased and my profits margin will double. I will earned additional finance that I can used to send my kids to school.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I just got up from bed that morning when I got a message. Surprisingly it was a mobile money message. I was so happy upon receiving an alert of money in my phone that early morning of January 21, 2022. I began to dance and later some of the town peole who also received their money started coming to join the celebration. It was like a holiday in the town. We danced nearly the whole day. To be honestly, many people did not believe this could ever happen in the town . So it was so unbelievable to everyone including myself. We were shouting from almost every quater of the village. Till today, I am still keeping that message in my phone as I await the second transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
As for me, I am a business woman. Before I started getting this money things were hard. I had to credit from the susu club to do my business but since I started receiving this money, I am happy now that I am getting something from Givedirectly. I dont intent to credit money any time soon.

I am living in a house that is not mine. My father- in- Law owns it. Upon receiving the money from Givedirectly, I gave him six thousand Linerian dollars as a gift and decided to keep the balance as I await the second transfer of the money to start to build my own house.
