In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly does well in giving cash which has greatly reduced poverty. I am thankful for the transfer but if you could have given us an extra transfer, i would have appreciated more because i would have boosted my business further
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy mattress and beddings for my children. I also topped up capital for my tearoom business with K200, 000.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very excited to receive this money from Give Directly and i know my life will greatly improve after receiving this money. I plan to open a groceries shop as we have to travel to town to buy groceries which is very far. I also want to use the money to buy a few bags of maize because i don't have enough food at the moment. I want to buy maize which would last upto the next harvesting season.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I do not have a specific time which i would say it's the happiest part of the day forme because it varies from day to day depending on the situation. So.e of the days i am the happiest in the morning because that is the time i usually have my first meal and some some of the days i am the happiest in the afternoon because that is the time i have food.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is lack of enough food to feed my family. I barely have enough food because i don't have enough land for crops. I depend on the lake for fishing and as of late the situation has been tough as we do not catch a lot of fish.
