"I am happy and would like to sincerely thank Givedirectly for considering me to receive this amount. Upon receiving the money I will be able to pay school fees for my child who has joined form one and be able to clear the arrears for my remaining children. My house is in bad condition, therefore I will use part of the money to renovate my house and live happily with my family."

"The fish stock at the shore line where we fish has reduced tremendously. We cannot get further in to the lake because we lack proper equipment and our boats can easily capsize. Without fish to sell, we don't have money to feed our families. In addition, we don't get ample rainfall that can support farming. We have to buy maize and vegetables, which is expensive. Life has been expensive and difficult."
