Annah
received a $464 third payment.
"I spent my third transfer on completion of our house which was build using the second transfer. I then plastered it since in this place the soil is very poor which causes mud walls to crack easily , and in some instances the soil falls off from some parts. This necessitates frequent labouring to replace the fallen mud and repair the cracks. My family wanted a break from this exercise, to enable us get on with other aspects of our lives."

David
received a $467 third payment.
"I spent a portion of my third transfer on relocating to a new home far away from my parents' home. I purchased all building materials which I used in constructing a new 3 roomed house. I had began growing old with most of my kids married, meaning I had to vacate my father's home for my own. Were it not for this transfer, I am very sure I would not have afforded the relocation. Besides that, I paid school fee for my daughter in a boarding secondary school. I can clearly attest that the transfer has assured me that my daughter would complete her schooling with a lot of ease."

Francis
received a $467 third payment.
"I have been staying in a very squeezed house for a very long time. So when I received my second transfer, I started buying building materials that I added to some I bought using my third transfer and built a very spacious house. I also constructed a kitchen as we used to cook outside and when it rains we could squeeze in the small house and the smoke could be unbearable. The remaining I spent on buying two calves that in the future I will use for ploughing. Thank you GiveDirectly."

Caroline
received a $467 third payment.
"I have a son suffering from sickle cell anemia who needs frequent medical attention and I had sold all my livestock to enable him access medical attention, so when I received my third transfer, I saved it for him given that I never had anything left. I am so happy my son is alive today because I was able to buy the prescribed drugs and get to the hospital as scheduled. Honestly, were it not for these transfers, my son could have passed on. I testify about this in church every day. Thank you and I wish he (my son) was here to say thank you too."

George
received a $467 third payment.
"I spent a portion of the last transfer on a set of sofa to replace the torn and outdated seats that I owned before. With the expansion of my house with the previous transfer, I felt the seats too needed to be changed to match the newly renovated house. There were also more household items that I still lacked and could not afford acquiring them on my own. I therefore purchased some stuffs such as proper bedding, kitchenware and clothing. Honestly speaking, the transfer has really opened my eyes and can confidently say that there is no other organisation to compare Give Directly with."

"I spent part of third transfer on buying a solar panel and its battery. I used to have a tin lamp that could distract my children when studying as it could go off unceremoniously even in the middle of their studies, I am happy with the solar, they are able to study in peace without any distraction, and fear that the power might go off. I also spent my part of my third transfer on paying school for my daughter who, is in secondary school. I have cleared all the arrears, and she was not sent out like was the norm. The remaining I spent on purchasing a sub woofer for listening to music. I am grateful for the money I received as it has also enabled me to fit glass windows. My house had never windows since it was constructed."
