"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is sickness. I feel pain on my chest and back and I believe it is as a result of domestic violence. My late husband used to beat me a lot. I am not able to work as I would wish to because of the pain that I go through."

"After I have completed plastering my house which I hope will be done in the next six months, I hope to invest more in the fruits business that I recently started with my previous transfers with the aim of being financially stable after the project is over. This business is my only way out of misery next year so I hope that I will be true to my wishes and invest more in it."

"The biggest hardship I meet is lack of money for maintaining my family. I have found it hard to access labour in people's gardens because of being blind. I feel rejected and hopeless hence I can not afford to provide basic needs like food in the family. My family members hardly take a meal in a day and they are really facing serious malnutrition which may result to death"

"My family really is in dare need of oxen and ox-plough for ploughing but all has never been fine due to high poverty levels at our home. Receiving givedirectly money will help me by my own oxen to facilitate easy and earlier tilling of land for planting crops. I believe this will increase production in my home and poverty may be no more."

My poverty level is so much alarming to the extent that I can not afford providing scholastic materials and paying fees for the children studying in Gill primary school.
