I spent 45000 KES of my second transfer on buying building materials ( iron sheets, nails and timber) that I'm planning to use next month on building my compound. I used the rest of the money on boosting my cereal business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have always longed for having my compound but I couldn't afford. I'm now happy I already have the materials required so I believe I'll soon have my own compound. This is the biggest difference in my daily life.

What did you spend your token payment on?
When I received my first transfer, I spent it on food worth 6000 KES and started a cereal shop with 4000 KES. I started selling maize grains and other legumes like ground nuts and beans in order to earn income and cater for my household needs.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received my money when I never had any and at the same time, one of my child was sick and I never had food to feed them so the moment I saw the message and confirmed that it was money from Give Directly, I felt decompressed and totally relieved. I knew that I would now get food for us to eat before thinking of the next thing to do.

What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings after I have sold my cereals and vegetables and I get some money to help me out with my daily needs.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to construct a much bigger house for my family since my current house is very small and can not fit all of my family under one roof.with the balance, i will top up with my savings to pay school fees for my children.
