What did you spend your token payment on?
I spent the larger part of my first transfer on buying 10 pieces of cushions for my chairs 5000 KES .I paid school fees for my nephew who is an orphan 1500 KES. I also bought a half bag of maize for my family's consumption 3500 KES.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was along the road hawking some goods as this has been my source of income and a verification message popped on my cell phone that showed GiveDirectly had sent my first transfer, I felt very happy since before I was doubtful that GiveDirectly was would sent the money as all were hearsay but truly it really met it word by fulfilling its promise on time as it had stated.

My biggest hardship as at now is feeding and carting for other family expenses.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning. Its a blessing to see a brand new day so I'm always very happy during this time.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money has brought me joy. I have been meaning to cement my house but due to lack of money, I have not been able to. With this money coming my way, I am planning to cement my house, start up a small business of my own as fishing is seasonal to help boost my family's income. Lastly I will spend it on my children's fees which has been a big concern to me.
