Monica
received a $530 second payment.
"When my daughter sat for her exams, I knew that she would pass, my worries was how she would continue with her education, since I had no adequate resources to support that. I managed to pay School fees for her for the three academic years. With the little savings I get from my business, I believe I will be able to raise money for her college and other children's education. My life has changed from desperation to hopefulness."

"My husband used to own a shop in Bamba centre but it collapsed due to lack of capital. Since then, it has been very difficult to pay our children's school fees. My desire is to provide quality education for my children up to tertiary level. This will enable them to access employment opportunities that will eradicate poverty in my family. Therefore, with this transfer I will reopen the shop business and also purchase livestock for rearing. These will help me generate income which I will save in order to finance my children's education. Besides this, the income will also cater for other needs such as food and clothing."

"Currently, my life is different in that I have been able to pay school fees for my daughter through saving money in a merry -go- round. Therefore it gives me joy to see her go to school to achieve her dream unlike before when I didn't the vision of securing her education due to my little income as the only option would have been to marry her off at an early age."

Diana
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"Apart from joining college, the other change brought in my life with these transfers is that I am self-independent financially. I no longer have to literally beg for anything from my parents. This is one of the reasons why my parents could not support my college education. It means they would provide for my personal and school needs which was too much on their small income from casual work. I am glad about the transfers, I am able to sort my personal needs on my own without having to seek help from my parents."

"Our goal is to be financially stable and independent as a family so that we can meet our needs such as food, medication and education with much ease. This I will accomplish through buying a sewing machine as I am soon completing my tailoring course so I can earn income from making clothes for people. I will also invest in livestock rearing, our main economic activity here since farming is unreliable due to unfavorable weather conditions. Lastly, I will save part of the transfers in my bank account for my child who is yet to start school."

Harrison
received a $368 second payment.
"My life is currently different as my mother's health is much better. Seeing her healthy really gives me peace. Earlier before receiving the transfers, she could hardly get money for her medication. Seeing her ill used to stress me a lot. She is healthier now thanks to the transfers. At the moment I now focus on my education and hustling around as she can stay at home all alone."

received a $23 twelfth payment.
"The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have been able to pay my children's' school in time. Before the transfers, I used to struggle to pay school fees for my children because of my low income from casual work. The income was not sufficient enough for our daily needs. In most cases, I would have to sell part of my harvest to supplement my daily income so that I can be able to meet my family demands. This was not easy because my financial status was worsening each day. Anytime I fell sick, I could not sit at home to rest because if I stayed home for a day, the needs will be too many to handle. Receiving these transfers has brought a lot of ease in my life. In as much as I still don't give the best to my family, but their education is well catered for and they are rarely sent home because of school fees."
