Erka
received a $527 second payment.
"When my son was a bout to sit for the final examinations that could lead him to secondary school, I was worried on how and where I would get money to pay for fees. It appeared to me to be a tough task. Right now, I am sure that he will make it. I promise to give his education the first priority because out of it, he will have a tool for employment opportunity. My life now is good without worries, I could now have time to reorganized myself on how to face the family life a head. Life without anxiety."

Jocintar
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"My new goal is to see my son through his education. He had passed well and will be joining university soon. In the next four months, I am planning to save for his shopping and pocket money since I know that the Government will help us to settle the university fees but would not carry all the burden. I do not want him to lack anything because I will feel that I have failed as a parent."

Isayah
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I was able to buy a goat. I am a happy man because I know that it will reproduce and increase in number in a very short period of time hence I will be in a position to sell them and use the money to pay school fees for my child who will be joining high school in three years time. I do not want to fail him like my parents did to me. I never completed my studies because my parents could not afford to pay school fees. As for me, I will do anything to make sure he gets proper education. This is why I have started planning early. I also thank GiveDirectly for giving me hope and helping me realize my dreams."

Twaha
received a $448 second payment.
"In my view, GD did well to help us people living under extreme poverty. These transfers have helped improve peoples standards of living in terms of Education, Acquiring household items, Livestock, Others started business and improved feeding. Furthermore, GD did well not to put us into groups like other NGOs and gave us money individually. According to me there's nothing wrong GD has done."

"In the next six months, I want to ensure I pay school fees for my children promptly. I would not feel good when my children are sent home for school fees and they waste time at home while others are studying. I want them to have the best in educations so that when they are done, they will support when they get well-paying jobs."

Florence
received a $546 second payment.
"I spent my second transfer on school fees as well as farming. I have one child in college and the other one in Secondary School. I did not get chance to have good education due to inadequate resources and could not wish my own child to pass through the same life experience. For that matter, I declared that I will do everything to provide the best education to my children."

Nancy
received a $527 second payment.
"The organization has given us opportunity and tool to fight poverty. The area has improved economically in terms of income per capita. Farming, livestock keeping, poultry keeping, business, education and health were center of people's expenditures.
The organization should work closely with the local administrative bodies to reduce cases of fraud as witnessed in most cases between helpers/or trustee of recipients."

"Having a stable source of income has been the biggest hardship in my life.Getting money to cater for the basic needs and education for my children has not been easy. After dropping out of school at primary level I had to start looking for money as a casual labourer. When my children were young I had to work away from my family as a casual labourer in a tea estate.I later came back home with the little savings and started cattle business which collapsed due to limited funds.I then sort for employment as a cook in a nearby school where I worked for 12 years.I received little salary or sometimes none since they deducted to cater for school fees for my children in that school. At least my children were able to go through secondary school despite getting little or no salary at all."
