"My work involves cutting trees in the forest and burning them to make charcoal. This is an extremely tiring job and for the past few months I have been praying to find an alternative source of income. Receiving this money means I will be able to start rearing livestock which is a very lucrative business in Bamba location. Over time the livestock will give birth and multiply in number, i will then start selling them in Bamba market thereby earning income from it. With this income I will pay for my children's education and feed my family."

"My greatest ambition is to ensure that my children get the best education. As a result, I have sold all my cows to educate them given that I do not have a constant source of funds. Receiving this money will enable me to buy 4 bulls each costing 12000 shillings and a cow at 18000 shillings. These bulls will enable me to pay for my son's dowry in the future and the cow will enable me get milk everyday."

"I was diagnosed with malignant diabetes in the year 2014 and was admitted to Longisa District hospital for barely 2 weeks. I have since been on and off the hospital for regular check ups and severity monitoring. For close to four years now I have routinely reported to the hospital to purchase monthly medication for every single one of them. It is expensive! My worry is that my four children would not access quality education and social welfare now since we spend all our finances to cater for my monthly medical expenses. This is the biggest hardship I have faced in my life. "
