"The biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life is ending my education after class eight due to lack of fee. I am a first born child in a family of seven siblings. My parent depend on farming to provide for household basic needs. Our farming doesn't do well due to long dry seasons in our area hence most of the time we could not get what to sell for more finances hence our parents raising school fee for me was hard task forcing me to drop out of school."

"In the next six months, I would want to ensure I commit to paying school fees for my grandchildren so that they may not be sent home for the same again. I believe there is nothing better than giving them education. Out of education, I will have given them what their parents would have given to them. It's the best gift a parent can give his/her children."

"The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving this transfer is that I now have my secondary school certificates. My grandmother who is a casual worker was not able to raise the money to pay my school fees when I was still in school. The headteacher agreed to let me do my examinations but won't let me have my certificates until I clear the remaining fees arrears. I had to go for casual work to help my grandmother raise the money to settle the arrears but it has not been easy. When I received this money, I went to clear the debts so that I could get my certificates. Right now, I feel very happy and motivated to continue with my education because I have my papers. I hope to join college next year."

"The biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life is educating my children alone after passing on of my husband. My husband died in the year 1983 when our first born child was a form one. Coming to terms with the incident was hard situation to tackle and to make it worst was providing for my family basic needs. I had no job hence I had to rely on casual jobs to meet my family daily basic needs education for my children being the hardest of all."

"I spent most of my life struggling to give the best in terms of education to my children. With the little income that we got, we had to struggle a lot to get enough money to enable them stay in school. We sold almost all the household property leaving us with absolutely nothing. Although we managed to pay their school fees, the expenses made on them is still felt up to date."

"My first priority is to invest in my business of selling second clothes. Normally I sell them on small quantity due to inadequate capital. That is why I will expand the business by buying new stocks including a full bale. That way I will have a variety of different clothes to sell to my different target market.
Money from my business will help me improve my family's life financially.
I want to pay for my child's school fees. She is about to start school next year but I have been worried on where to get her school fees. She will be able to get education and get a chance to progress in life.
Thirdly I will use money given to me to help my family whenever they require money. My grandfather and my aunt support me from time to time. So I will help them with money for agriculture to buy seeds and pay for harvesting labour."

"The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of stable source of income to cater for my family's needs like food, shelter clothing and education. As casual workers we get paid very little money in a day and sometimes we do not get these jobs and this means going without a meal. "
