Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to improve dairy farming that I have started at home by getting a good breed and dairy feeds. This project earns me an income by selling milk at the shopping center near home.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I cleared the school fees for my daughter who was at the university. I depend on the casual jobs in the village and small scale farming to earn an income. The money that I could get was so small and was not enough to pay the school fees. My daughter was almost deferring from his studies due to no money. When I received the money from GiveDirectly I cleared the school fees and she was able to sit for her final university exams. I am so happy now that she has completed her studies and graduated. I no longer have stress like before, I have devoted my time to my small dairy farming as she is now searching for a job.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I would have started horticulture farming. This will enable us to have enough food and sell the surplus to earn an income to meet additional needs.
