How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before i received the transfer i had no hope that some day i will own a good house because i had no reliable source of money, but now with givedirectly my life has changed because i will have one of good houses in the village
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion givedirectly is doing well in providing transfers to rural masses without favouritism. There is nothing i can say it does not do well because every thing is perfect

I spent my transfer on buying bags of cemen, bags of maize, clothes for the whole family, iron sheets and now i am building a new house

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a very special moment for me to receive such an amount of money for free. The feeling that i had was of appreciation and thanksgiving. I was super excited.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I now have basic needs like money for daily expenses. Before I got this transfer from GiveDirectly my life was miserable as I could not afford enough food for my family. GiveDirectly has come to my rescue and Iam no longer starving.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When i got this transfer I bought beddings, 10 bags of maize and saved part of the transfer to buy iron sheets in the near future so I can build a proper and modern house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Building a better house, an improved one is what receiving this money means to for along time i have been living in this house but during rains it leaks and the house becames very small since we all push our selves to not sleep on a wet place.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Iam happy all day now that were harvesting, since we have enough food and now its a season for sweet potato so having breakfast is easy so is relish
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life was the time i was pregnant with my first born son, being a poor family i was unable to find and eat enough health foods as such i was always sick
