How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because before, it was hard for me to afford even food, but now, I am happy to be having food and feed better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, givedirectly has done well making people in the village very happy by giving them money directly to build houses, buy food, livestock and taxi motorcycles; and there's nothing it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to plaster my house, buy food, and household items like clothes, radio, utensils.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that I am happy and I do not have any more worries about food. I do not have to search for casual labour so as to sustain my family. I can now buy food whenever I want to change a diet.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received the money because that money was going to enable me plaster my house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer UGX200,000 to hire a farm land and I bought two goats worth UGX150,000. I also bought sand and bricks worth UGX350,000 and two metalic windows worth UGX140,000 and one door worth UGX200,000. The balance I am planning to spend it on plastering the house and feeding my family.
