How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have a good sleeping place. and also i am able to eat properly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly has empowered us financially. I have been able to buy clothes, food, and i will build a house for myself eventually.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought clothes and blankets for the whole family. I also bought bags of maize for food. I want to build a house therefore i was topping up some resources namely;nails for the house, doors, door flames . I used some to pay loan

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
i was very happy when i received my money, i could not believe the whole amount was mine and i knew that my problems will be minimised.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i used to do piece work in order to provide food for my family, sometimes we could spend the whole day without eating and my children could go to school on an empty stomach. when i received my money i bought enough food for my family and currently we are able to eat everyday and my children goes to school after having breakfast.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received the money i bought food, mattress, clothes and fertilizer. i bought these things because i was in need of these things but i could not afford them.

Am very excited that I have been enrolled in the project because I have been suffering to find basic needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest when I have enough money and food.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
There are alot of things that I lack such as food, soap and as you can see my house is thatched with grass.
