In the next four months, I still want to focus my transfers on buying another cow. My desire is to have several of them so that when I have any financial crisis, I am able to sell some to raise money and still have some cows left behind.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers from Give Directly is that I have my own cows. Before the transfer, I did not have any livestock in my compound in as much as I would have wanted to. I could not have bought any because I had a very small income from farming which could not sustain even our basic needs. This is why when I started receiving muy transfers, I started paying for a cow from my neighbour on a monthly basis. I have finished paying for the cow and it is my own. Without the transfers, I would not have managed to buy the cow by now.

In the next six months, I know I will never be struggling financially as it was the case before the transfers. My plan is to always save part of my monthly transfers so that I don't have to go borrowing from friends whenever I have any financial needs. That has been the case and I have been having very unnecessary debts which I plan to avoid so that I may develop financially and be independent.

I plan to continue buying farm inputs that will help me take care of my tomatoes. They are normally very delicate and require intensive care. I will ensure that I purchase the right pesticides and fungicides to ensure I get quality tomatoes.

The biggest difference in my daily life is the farming of tomatoes. I have used the transfers to establish a potato farm. I plowed the land and bought seeds, fertilizer and farm care chemicals. I also hired labour since the crop needs intensive care. I am hoping to get a lot of products that may give me about KES 50,000.

I expect to have continued farming short-season crops that will give me more income. I am currently preparing to harvest maize and looking forward to frow cabbages on my farm after I recently harvested tomatoes.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I have been to achieve so many tasks which seemed impossible before. First, I was able to do some farming in one of our lands in Londiani. This farm had been unutilized for so long due to lack of funds. Due to this, I am expecting food security in our family after this harvest. In addition to this, I have been able to do some crop rotation in our farm and I am hoping to get a good harvest this year.

My additional goal in life is to start poultry keeping project. Am glad since I have been able to build a chicken coop. My next transfer will be resourceful to me as I will use it to purchase some chicken. I settled on this since it can be operated alongside other projects as it requires minimal attention and input.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to practice good farming practices. For the first time in my life, I applied enough fertilizers on my crops during planting and I was also able to top-dress them. Due to this, my crops are now flourishing well in the farm.

My life will have changed in the next six months in that I will have started a dairy farming project. I am planning to use the savings I will be given in our table banking group to achieve this. Owning a dairy cow will save my mother the cost of buying milk daily. Also, my poultry keeping project will be running well and I will be investing the money derived from this project.

My life is currently different in that I have been able to make various investments that has seen me be more self reliant from day to day. I have been able to hire land and put it under agricultural production and this has seen me have more income at my disposal. The income got from this, has seen me do less of casual work while at the same time I have been able Been able to hire land and practice more farming. Been able to meet basic household needs such as food without having to work whole day and with little income.

In the next four months, I am looking forward to hiring more land and start horticultural farming. This will give me more returns and within a shorter period and enable me run other family expenses like paying school fees for my brother in a much more easier way. Through this, I will also be able to make other investments that will expand my income base and raise our family standards of living.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to join a merry go round and successfully make merry go round contributions. I used the accumulated amount to hire land and planted maize where I have been able to make a huge harvest. We have also been able to collectively pay school fees for our last born son who could often be sent home for school fees. One of my brothers had to drop out of school but we are proud that we have been able to keep our last born in school and keep his hope of having a brighter future alive.

I expect my life to change tremendously in the next six months. I am looking forward to practicing large scale agricultural farming that will see me have enough money at my disposal and which I can use to improve the standards of living for my family and I.

My life is currently different. The transfers motivate me to work harder.

My new goal is to buy a cow that will give us milk in future for consumption and sale.

The biggest difference in my daily life is the house that I built using the funds. We formed a merry go round group to pool funds and I was able to build a house. I had been living with my brother and I felt I needed my own.

I expect to have another cow in the next six months. The cows will be an investment for future sale. I will be able to progress economically as a result.

My new goal is to buy livestock.

It was hard for me to get enough money to boost my activities. GD has enabled me to do it through their cash transfer project. I see my life changing with continuous transfer.
