How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Presently, I am building a 3 bedroom apartment that will be completed as soon as possible. With this transfer just received from GiveDirectly, I am going to invest bulk of my money in education. I will complete payment of my children yearly tuition. The other portion of my transfer will be used to buy building materials to complete my house. GD transfers has given me hope for the future. I am so pleased with this program.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From my own judgement, GiveDirectly has been very honest in delivering cash to poor people like us. Sometimes it seems unreal for me to have received such amount of money as goodwill. I am blessed to be part of this project. I see nothing that GiveDirectly is not doing quite well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My primary objective at the moment is to complete my house project and also complete payment of my children yearly tuition. Hence, when I cash out my transfer received from GiveDirectly, I will buy 3 bundles of 14 gauge zinc for $27,300LD. I will also pay workers to saw plank for the roof of my house. Finally, my remaining transfer will be used to pay my children tuition.
