How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build a house but not now because I want to raise enough money for the project before I start it, I bought a motorcycle to run a business with it so that it can generate more money for my project, I also want to increase the little business that I'm running so that it can serve as a backup to my plan.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by holding on to its values, they told us from the beginning of the program that the program is unconditional without any string attached to it, throughout the program, there was not a day that we were asked for anything in return for their help, that is why I love the organization so much; I don't know anything that they are not doing well in this town.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy a motorcycle so that it can run as a business for me, motorcycle business is one of the good profit making business in our town and I know through it I can make most of my goals to be achieved. I also used some to buy food for my family, the balance was invested in a little business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to do dry goods business with my cash transfer, because on this rural side when you do such business it sells very well, and with the profits I can be able to help sustain I and my family, and such business is really good for dry season, reason being it enables you to freely move around and sell well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What had made me happy in the last six months is, for the fact that my mother had been sick and admitted at the hospital for a very long time, but have been discharged, and now I can talk to her had brought me great joy. And even seeing my children all healthy and I have life in me also bring me joy as well.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Those challenges I'm currently faced with are: firstly, the lack of money to support the home, my children's father refused to support his children, and I'm not doing any good Job, we manage to eat when I go to help people bag their charcoal, they give portion of it as a pay, which I tie and sell by retail; sometimes my siblings send supports. Secondly, I don't have any partner that will show up those concerns, such as buying me clothes, sending my children to school, etc.
