Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in the town and I heard others saying that they have received their transfer. I went to the place where we usually go to call because there is no network in the town. When I saw the transfer message on my phone, I started to cry, because I have suffered alot, and I didn't know I was going to receive such money to help me solve problems I have been faced with. I have bought znic to improve my house I built since 2010. I also bought matress which has been a long-term plan for me, but I couldn't afford the money to buy it. I have been sleeping on mat. I appreciate GiveDirectly for sending me this money that is changing my living condition rapidly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life now is that, I am happy. I feel good when ever it is evening time for me to go and sleep on my new matress. Improving my house has been a serious burden for me, but with this transfer, I am relieved. I really appreciate GiveDirectly for this transfer because my worries and stress have gone. It is my prayers for GiveDirectly to continually get money to help the needy people.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfers on two important things. My house is old and needs improvement. I am a farmer. Everything I get from the farm goes towards feeding. I didn't have money to make my living place decent. With my transfer, I was able to buy zinc to start improving my house. My house is in a very deplorable condition. I also bought matress. I have been sleeping on mat for over 10 years. I am happy that I will soon change my house roof. I really appreciate GiveDirectly for my transfer.
