How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal has been to improve my house roof from thatch to zinc. The thatch roof was old and used to leaked when it is raining. My children and I have been living in this condition for a very long period of time. And we are tired of living under thatch roof. It has really been my biggest challenge to improve my house roof with iron sheets or zinc, due to the lack of money. But through the intervention of GiveDirectly I was able. My family and I now sleep under a zinc roof house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Really, getting on GiveDirectly program has improved my living conditions. It is because of GiveDirectly that I can boost of sleeping under an improved roof with my family. Receiving money directly in my phone from GD is something too well that this organisation is doing. I do not know how to even thank them. But God will repay GD for its timely help. Hence, I truly appreciate GD for coming my village and transferring money directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought zinc with my last transfer and have my house roof changed from thatch to zinc. It has really been my worry to improve my roof. Because it really used to leak. I remembered most time my family and I hardly sleep at night when it's raining, due to the leakage from the roof. So, when I got my last money, I was too happy to solve this old age problem. And I immediately did. Now, my family and I worry no more about leakage.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan is to build a new house. I'm living in a deplorable house with my family. My husband has been sick and paralyzed since April 2021. I am a farmer and been planting crops. I harvest those crops before providing our daily needs. My old age can no longer permit me to do those hard works anymore. My children were the one getting on farming contracts to support our home. However, GiveDirectly came to our aid at the right. This opportunity is a blessing to my entire family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly have no fault. I have never own phone for myself before. It's GiveDirectly that made me to have phone and gave me huge money to settle my life. I am very grateful to GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my first and second transfer to buy zinc and zinc nails. I also bought some other building materials. I spend my third transfer to buy a bag of rice. I'm saving the balance transfer to take care of my husband health expenses. I also give contractors two thousands five hundred Liberian Dollars ($ 2,500) to start cutting sticks for my house project.
