What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent some amount to buy building materials iron sheets, nails and timber which am planning to use in building a much bigger house. The remaining amount, I have kept to pay laborers who will build and renovate my house
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the transfer, I would not have bought building materials which am planning to build my new house, repaid my One Acre Fund loan on time and also I would not have harvested the yield I have right now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well in sending us transfers directly to recipients and through Mpesa which is very secretive and also GD conducted barazas on wise spending which will bring longterm changes to recipients. I have not seen anything that GD has not done well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I used 13000 KES to buy a cow which I now rear in my home. I then gave 10000 KES to my son for his upkeep in the university. I also bought a 2 sacks of dry maize at 9100 KES for my family's food since we did not have enough food in the house. Since it was planting season, I used 2000 KES to till my maize farm too. Moreover, I have bought 10 iron sheets which I intend to use in constructing my new house after adding more iron sheets. I have put aside 10000 KES in my savings account but consumed the rest on buying foodstuffs for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I now have my own cow which I am rearing, and I alaso have iron sheets which give me hope that I will afford to construct a new house for my family.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 8000 KES from my first transfer in tilling my maize farm since the planting season was at hand and I had no other money to use on farming. I then used the balance to buy foodstuffs for my family, so that at least we can have some special meal.

I was so happy the moment I received my money because it had come as a relief for me, as I was stressed on how to get money for cultivation.
