How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I was able to construct a house. I also own property that I would not have had if give directly had not chosen me. I also eat and sleep well.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly does well by giving the needy unconditional cash transfers. On the otherhand I do not see anything that give directly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase four bags of maize worth 140,000 ugx and three pigs worth 120,000 ugx. I purchased a plot of land worth 200,000 ugx and soil for building the house worth 160,000 ugx. I paid the builders 60,000 ugx and bought food too. I have saved 600,000 ugx to help me in other emergencies.
