How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Our lives are different because with this sum of money we are able to provide for the family. The amount of money with the things that are needed around the house is divided equally than before where we had to prioritise even for the basic needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Givedirectly is working very well. The are so many poor people in Malawi but I feel like Givedirectly has managed to reach a lot of people, and this opportunity is very rare. Givedirectly has made such a huge difference in peoples lives so I really dont see anything that they are doing wrong or anything that they dont do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the transfers on mattress for my children, roofing, brick making machine and 18 bags of maize. My husband is a builder so all I did was buy what will be needed to build the house. When he is done with his other projects he will start working on building our home
