What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money will help me alot in the ambitions I jad with my husband. Since we have children who look up to us when they have ran out of food. We have always desired to grow and harvest more than we usually do. Currently, we grow crops on 8 hectares of land. Despite having enough food for me and my wife, we intend to increase the size to 12 hectares so that we have more to keep and sell whenever we run out of money or in need of extra money. We shall also make sure that we reserve some money to do plastering and cementing the floor. Furthermore, we look forward to expand our maize mill business by including a maize sheller.
What is the happiest part of your day?
As a wife, it gives me joy to be at home with my husband whenever we are back from our different activities of the day. Sometimes I get to supervise how things are going at the maize mill or visit the market whilst my husband has gone to seek better markets for produce in this harvesting season.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We are a business oriented family. This means we try our best to use the little we earn either from selling crops or other avenues. This practice led to us to build our first ever maize mill in the village. Unfortunately, we do not realize enough money to invest more into the business. The main problem for us right now is lack of extra opportunities to generate more and secure funds for other investments.
