How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been getting some little cash from my saloon occupation which I have been using to buy food for my family on a daily basis so at-least for me I know that it is a bit hard for us to go hungry. On a very bad day I know I can go home with at-least two hundred shillings that caters for food budget for the following day.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a plan of cultivating my farm and make sure that I get modern fertilizers and seedlings that I will use during the on-coming planting season so that by the end of the season we get a bumper harvest that will see us through the months after the season comes to an end.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I experienced a lot of changes one of them being the sand and concrete that I already bought. I had planned of buying these materials which I wanted to use in making some renovations in my house but then due to lack of money, the dream has never materialized. However, when GD gave me the transfers the dream dream eventually turned into a reality and I am so happy about that.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will change because by that time I will have mastered most of the saloon skills. You see right now I am still a trainee and most of the time I keep learning new skills from my teachers. Due to my passion for this work, I know very soon I will be an expert and by that time I will have my own clients, and of course I will be in a position to generate more money.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving the money is that I'm happy I already have materials required for plastering my house thus I'll be able to get rid of jiggers in my house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have attended a hair dressing college so that I can start up my own hair dressing shop.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently diferent from the way it would have been had I not received the money from GiveDirectluyu in that I didn't know I would one day plaster my house. I'm now happy I've made a great step purchasing the required materials.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I have a new goal of starting up a business so that I can have an additional source of income apart from farming. I had thought of it but I could not afford it and now that I'm expecting money from GD, it's part of my budget.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I currently face is lack of enough money to repair my house. It is very dilapidated and I fear that it might collapse anytime and injure my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I am tending to my crops. Working in my farm makes me happy because I know that if I take good care of my crops I will have food for my family after harvesting.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy cement, sand, timber, nails and iron roofing sheets which I will use to repair my dilapidated house, as it might collapse anytime.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is being a generous person. I can never bear to see someone else suffer due to financial problems, I always try to ensure that we share the little we have and because of this the Lord has blessed me abundantly.
