Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy because I was going to build apermanent house which I never thought of building on my own.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has changed because I bought a bed and a mattress. I now sleep very well as opposed to when I suffered from ant bites. Secondly, I have built a permanent house which is at roofing level. I hope to shift in it after completing it with the second transfer .
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I purchased building materials( 4 trips of bricks, 3 trips of sand, 2 trips of stones, 10 bags of cement, iron sheets, timber and nails) and paid labourers. However, both the recipient and helper could not estimate how much the son who was incharge building project used but the house was built upto roofing. He also bought household goods( a bed and mattress ) worth UGX 210,000.
