Growing up, I was denied the right to education, a decision that led to a series of bad choices that ended my dream of becoming a teacher. My greatest desire therefore is to ensure my children get access to quality education and be able to achieve their dreams. I plan to complete my tailoring course, buy a sewing machine and start working. I will also buy fabrics that I can sell to supplement my income. I will purchase livestock too which I can resale later as they keep growing in number to make sure my children stay in school.

My newborn baby mostly keeps me awake at night leaving me very fatigued in the morning. However, she sleeps very soundly in the afternoon allowing me to rest a bit too. This makes it the best part of my day.

I have always wished to be educated and have a white collar job but fate would not have it my way. Coming from a very poor background coupled with a strict father who never believed in educating the girl child, I ended up in Mombasa looking for work, a search that proved to be futile after months of being unlucky. Life in that town became unbearable and overly expensive forcing me to return home. I later decided to get married hoping life would be a little bit better but still the challenges are the same mostly being the financial inability to provide food and education for my children.
