Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was in the morning around 11 am, I was home cooking lunch. I was full of joy and smiles on that day. The first thing I thought I was going to change the way my family live in a positive way.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
So many things have changed because we didn't have money , there is a day where we couldn't afford to eat at night we could only eat lunch but now we are able to have three meals per day. I was able to repay the loan I took and I was able to buy food for family. The rest of the money was spent on renovating the walls of our house by cemeting them.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I will buy a land of $300 for cultivation purpose, I will pay health insurance of $9 for my family , livestocks of $50. I will buy matelas and bedsheet of $100, I will repair my house with $200, and use the rest in feeding my family, buying clothes and shoes
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have a cow from government support, in last 2 months it gives birth, This means It will be my own cow after giving one cow my neighbors
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am very old with 73 years old, If I didn't go work in others farms for $0.8 I can't get food to eat, As we can't get enough food, we eat once day and we can't do any saving. My house also is very old, I don't have money to repair it, no electricity at home. I even have loan of health insurance of $9, every month I pay $3 per month
