Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Having been saving for quite some times now, I have a new goal to construct a new house. The small one we have been living in is now getting smaller since my children are growing older and need more space in the house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
After receiving the transfers from GiveDirectly, I made sure that I plan well on the expenditures. The first priority was to put a better share on my business which I had already started started. This later turn out to be the most prolific source of income and so far it has made the biggest difference in my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I am hopeful that I will have sourced all the required materials for construction and will be ready to start the construction of our new house.

Sometimes I turned down customers and they would go back for lack of some items that they required say, fashion of their choice or their size is unavailable. This money changed my business I bought enough stock. I am now able to provide my customers with their preferences.

I expect to start building our house soonest. I am planning on buying building materials in portions. so I can start building without running short of building materials.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am able to go to several markets nowadays six days in a row. I am truly happy that my customers are able to get the type of clothes they love. Every evening I leave for home feeling satisfied.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I dropped out of school while in primary level due to my parent's inability to pay for the school fees. Now finding a job has been very difficult since good jobs on offer requires people who have studied to a specific level and have the knowledge and experience in those desired fields. I am now pegged to just doing casual assignments to just meet ends need unlike if I had completed my studies. For me this is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up feeling fine, energized and ready to face what the day has to offer.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on constructing a semi-permanent house for my family and starting a small business.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Having my first born child after years of waiting in marriage was a sign of relief for me since I was experiencing pressure from my parents to have one. In our culture, its a norm for every parent to see his son have kids after marriage and the delay in having one in my marriage raised eyebrows among my parents. This for me was the greatest achievement I am proudest of.
