Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to improve my house. The one I live in currently is small and not in good shape. I am hoping to raise some money, add to the transfers that I will be receiving and build a bigger and better house.

I have been doing farming even before GD came. Though I was engaging in small scale farming, the produce was not that much to sustain my family. When I received my transfers, I invested it in large scale farming. This has not only increased production but has also produced a quality harvest.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, hopefully I will have started assembling materials to help me build another better house. Besides that, my farming will have grown and able to sustain my family.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Being that I do not have a stable source of income, I mostly depend on farming. Receiving these have always enabled us to buy hybrid and quality seeds which give us great returns and even hire labourers to help on the farm. In the last four months, were busy tending to our farms and things were much easier as compared to previous farming seasons because this season, we were able to weed our farms in good time without having to strain a lot because we could afford to hire labourers to assist, all thanks to the transfers we receive from Give Directly. I have also planted trees which will always be a reminder of Give Directly's great impact in our lives even in later years.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have plans of investing my transfers on livestock such as goats and chicken. In rural areas like where I live, there is not much going on in terms of businesses and the only way I can surely invest the transfers I am receiving is through livestock which I can afford to take care of without any stress. I will, therefore, save my next few transfers so that I can start off by buying some goats which I can later sell to raise enough money to buy a cow which is my ultimate goal.

Having no stable source of income as a young man has always made it very hard for me to afford personal items such as clothes and shoes. Earlier on, I rarely bought clothes so I had to use the old ones I have always owned which were not decent at all. With the monthly transfers, I have been receiving from Give Directly, I have managed to buy myself decent clothes and shoes which have totally changed my overall looks and personality. Nowadays I see the need for staying clean and neat just so my new wear can stay long, which was not mostly the case in the past.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I planted sugarcane some time back with the help of the transfers I have been receiving from Give Directly which I hope will be ready for harvesting in the next few months. My hope is that I will earn a decent amount of money from the sales of the sugarcane which I can then use to pay my wife's dowry so that she can come back. She left me and went back to her native home with an ultimatum that she will only be back when the dowry has been paid. This has not happened yet due to lack of money to fulfil the demand and the reason I am currently a single father. I hope that this will change soon though.
