What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on purchasing building materials(bricks) worth UGX 300,000, paid school fees worth UGX 520,000, Clothing/household goods worth UGX 400,000. There is a balance of UGX 400,000 which I'm planning to spend on paying labourers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by helping me to building a house and meeting schools for my child who join secondary school. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved because I'm building another permanent house which will be for my children. Before, I had a permanent house but it was not specious enough for us. In addition, I acquired an acre of land which I'm planning to use for Agriculture. Previous, I used to just rent land.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first cash transfer worth 1,700,000ugx, I used 1,200,000ugx for completing payment of two acres of land. I have deposited 300,000ugx for bricks and used 200,000ugx for buying household items.

The moment I received my cash transfer, I felt happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am a stress free person after completing payment of two acres of land.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is limited and or lack of money for educating my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when I am having lunch after garden work.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means being able to buy oxen for ploughing so as to improve crop production for both home consumption and commercial purposes. In addition, this money will help me educate my children.
