What does receiving this money mean to you?
I live in a small house with my five children. I lack privacy as a parent and I feel ashamed of this. Its walls and the roof are not in a good condition. Constructing a bigger house which can comfortably accommodate us was my biggest desire, with KES 30,000 I can construct a good one. Food is also a struggle to get, My husband is a casual worker and the little money he gets is not enough to cater for all our needs. we sometimes go a whole day without getting food, we will be able to buy enough food and my family can be healthy and happy.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am grateful I constructed a fish pond though I have not started rearing fish, soon there will be fish. My children are fine, none of them was sick for three months.I am always happy when I clear school fees in time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have three children in Secondary School, two boys are in form three and a girl in form two. Getting school fees has been a problem. They can stay home for a whole term without going to school. It pains me when I can not give them better education, Iam worried they will not complete their secondary school education.
