How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I am living a proud life. Through the aid , I was able to start livestock keeping by acquiring 3 goats. In addition, I have a pair of oxen that will boost our crop farming to replace the handwork which is slow and tiresome. I will be able to cultivate a larger section of the firm hence enough food for the family. Furthermore, I was able to pay the fee balance for I and my siblings.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well for coming with the unconditional cash program in the village. Through the aid, there is a lot of development in our society since we spend the transfer wisely.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
For a long period, we have been sleeping on the floor using old sacks as beddings. This has been a difficult scenario because my small siblings had maggots on their bodies. I spent $ 300 to purchase 2 beds and 2 mattresses for the family. In addition, I started livestock keeping by purchasing 3 goats for $120. This is a long term investment for the family, we will be able to depend on whenever we face any financial need. The remaining amount assisted me in paying my school fees and that of my siblings in total $100.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"Receiving this money means uninturpreted education my children. I am a widow and the only breadwinner in my family, who was blessed with 5 children. 2 of them are in secondary school. I am planning to spend 70,000 shillings to clear the fees arrears hence classes had resumed. This is going to give ample time for them to study with ease because they will not be sent home to collect school fees. I hope they are going to clear their education and secure jobs so that can make them earn more income for the family. Also, I am planning to spend the remaining amount on buying nutrition foods such as vegetables for my family to improve their health."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Morning is my happiest part of the day. It is at this time when I wake up and does my house chores before leaving for my casual jobs e.g washing utensils. Unlike in the evening when I tried."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My biggest hardship is unemployment. I do casual laborer e.g cleaning utensils in cafes at our nearby center. Due to the high rate of unemployment, the job comes with competition and therefore unreliable."
