My life has really improved in the way that I now have enough food for the entire household and a motor bike..

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received my transfer i was very excited, because i knew that i will be able to buy my treadle pump.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i was doing irrigation farming and i was irrigating my field using a watering cane. it was tiresome since my garden is big. since i received my first transfer i have i have bought a treadle pump and it has made work easier.

When i received my transfer i bought food because i did not have enough food at home. the other amount was used to buy treadle pump for irrigating my garden. the remaining amount was used to buy blankets and other basic needs

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a good house for me. I live in a house made of grass as i do not have the capabilities income wise to build a proper house. I live here as its close to my farm. When i receive this money i will build the house and buy new water pumps to use for irrigation.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy when i have money and i can afford to buy food for my family
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is the struggle to produce more farm produce due to less farming equipments like irrigation pumps. I also have problems transporting my produce as i only own a bicycle which can not carry alot of goods. I desire to have a motorcycle so i can carry my products to the market
