What did you spend your second transfer on?
By the time I received my second transfer I had just joined college, but had fee arrears so I used 40000 KES to clear the fee arrears so that I could continue with my studies. I then saved the rest of the money to be used in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Gd does well by giving cash to the needy to allow them spend on what the lacked. This has really helped a lot of people. I would urge Gd to help those who were left out in the program.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the money in that if it wasn't for the money I wouldn't have manged to join college. This is because I used the first transfer to join college.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have save a lump -sum amount of money 40,000 KES which I am planning on spending it in the month of September 2017 on enrolling onto a teaching college since I believe after completion of this course I will be more competent and venture on white scholar jobs and provide for my family. I bought water container and household utensils. I also bought a bag of maize for my family's consumption too.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my first transfer, I felt very happy since I was certain of accomplishing my plan of enrolling for a teaching course since I believe after completion of this course I will be more competent and venture on white scholar jobs and provide for my family which I couldn't achieve before due to lack of money.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life is getting enough money to run my family and also further my education.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is usually at mid day when I have already finished my day's work because I can rest or visit a few friends.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that my life will change because I intend to further my education and hopefully get a job in future.
