How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have a peace of mind since I completed constructing my house. I no longer worry about the licking roof whenever it rains.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GD financially support has enabled me to construct a permanent house, and there is nothing bad it has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy Iron sheets at UGX 672,000, timber at UGX 521,000, cement at UGX 405,000, and nails at UGX 34,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, am expecting to construct an iron roofed house, that will relieve me from looking for thatch twice a year, given that the thatch is now days scare.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I became very happy .
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 120,000 ugx of my first transfer for fire wood for burning bricks that am intending to use for constructing an iron roofed house, 93,000 ugx I spent on paying school fees for my two school going children. I have not yet spent 1,487,000 ugx of the money but am planning to spend it for buying iron sheets and timber for roofing my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to build a permanent iron-roofed house. My grassthatched house is in bad conditio and some times leaks, so putting up ironroofed house may be better option.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I always take time chatting with neighbours in the afternoon and this makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of enough money for providing basic needs to my children like education, food, good shelter.
