How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want to build my own house because the house that I am currently staying in belongs to my extended family and I want my children to have a house to call their own. I also want to own a good business that will keep raising money to support my daughter in school until she can graduate and have a better job in the future; I know when that happens, it will be a great help for me when I am old. These are my main goals that I want to achieve.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly is doing well by helping us unconditionally without any third party being involved, they are also kind in talking to us anytime we are being interview, they are straight in their processes and ready to slove our problems at anytime. I haven't seen anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well for now, all I have seen them doing are good.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my second transfer to buy some building materials to start my house project because it has been my dream for a long time to own a house, I also used some of the transfer to pay my daughter school fees so that she can be an educated person, I bought food also for my family and the remaining amount is in savings for future purpose.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"What I do plan to do with my cash transfer are, to invest into charcoal/fire coal business, and to build my own house, the reason is, there is no good job to do right now, I and my husband's hustles go mainly behind food and children's school fees, coal business has a lot of profits, with this business I will be able to assist my husband in supporting the home, and as the profit grows I can subsequently start my building project."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"What brought me happiness in the last six months is, one of my daughters got promoted to the tenth grade, but needed school fees for enrollment which I never had, but when I communicated that to two of the elder ones, they told me not to worry myself, they'll take care of it, this brought me instant relief, and I was so overwhelmed with excitement."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The challenges I'm currently faced with now are: firstly, getting money to start up my fire coal business, secondly, building my house, and lastly, sending my children to school, things had been so difficult for my husband and I, we only survive on the little farm we have, and sometimes the burning of coal, the cash we generate from these activities aren't enough to meet up with all of our demands. The house that we're currently in is a family house, so, getting whatever cash from GiveDirectly will mean a lot to us."
