How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different in that I was able to build a permanent though it was using the first transfer. This has has given me joy and a sense of freedom as I no longer have to move places looking for grass and keep renovating my former hut. In addition, I am delighted that together with my husband we acquired a motorcycle that has boosted his business of selling water in the community. This has as well enabled us to sustain and eased transportation in my family. Prior to receiving this money, my husband used to sell water using a bicycle which was a little tiring since he had to move long distances and it was time consuming.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money that has made my husband employed and ease transportation in my family. On the other hand, GiveDirectly has done nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my entire second transfer to buy a second hand motorcycle for my husband.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have been in position to construct an iron roofed house and clear all my debts within a short period of time. Previously, I was faced with a burden of renovating my grass thatched hut, 3 times Year due to the effect of termites and I also had serious unpaid debts.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my money, I became very happy and thanked God for GiveDirectly. This is because the money came at a right time when I wanted to construct an iron roofed house and pay off my debts.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first to purchase building materials(bricks, sand, 4 pieces of iron, timber, binding wire and nails) and paying for construction labour totaling to UGX 928,000. I also pay off a debts at UGX 150,000, gifts at UGX 88,000, saved UGX 10,000, took to church UGX 100,000, bought a spouse pan, food and a pot at UGX 104,0000. I have not spent UGX 320,000 but I intend to use it for construction.
