How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers empowered me financially to purchase household items such as mattress, bedsheets and curtains. My house is neat and comfortable. I also acquired an oxplough and oxen which made it easier for us to plough and till our farmlands at no cost.Prior to receiving the cash transfers, it was difficult to access oxen for ploughing. I had to labour on people's land so as to access an oxplough.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly did well to help the poor majority by sending them cash transfers. On the otherhand, I cannot point out anything that GiveDirectly has not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I purchased a cow , an oxplough and household items such as mattress, bedsheets and curtains.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I feel very happy because the cash transfer enabled me to acquire oxen and an ox-plough which are going to beef up my farming. In the past, I did not own any oxen and farming was cumbersome. I used to beg or exchange my manual labour so that I could be given a chance to have my farm lands ploughed.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I checked my phone at night after I heard a beeping sound. I was amazed to see a mobile money message from GiveDirectly. I was so excited and happy that GiveDirectly had fulfilled its promise of sending me the cash transfers.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first cash transfer to purchase a pair of oxen worth UGX 1500000 and I spent UGX 200000 was spent on purchasing an ox-plough. The balance of UGX 50000 was spent on purchasing clothes for the family.
