Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal is just to ensure we have enough food for me and my grandchildren throughout.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am aged and has been sick for a while now. I am fully dependent mostly on my spouse but she has also aged. The biggest thing the transfer has done for us is buying food. I do not how we would be right now were it not for these transfers. We used to plant some maize for us to eat but age doesn't allow us anymore.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that in the next six months, I would have gotten my health back. Right now, I just sit around doing nothing because of my poor health. I hope I will get enough money to go back to the hospital for checkup. Once I am healthy, I can do simple home chores such as looking after my livestock.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Comparing the last four months with my current life, there is really big difference. Initially my children would skip going to school due to lack of their tuition fees which is a story of the past at the moment. I have been able to clear their school fees in time to allow then settle and be prepared by their teachers for their examinations. I thank God that we have been able to manage that as a household through GiveDirectly monthly transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Alongside the dairy farming I am establishing, I have a new goal to start a small business. I have been hoping to open a shop which I will then stock within my compound in order to serve the needs of the immediate surrounding. Shopping centers in our village are a bit far, and would always takes someoneat least 20 to 30 mins to walk to the shopping center which is a waste of time. Opening a small shop will attract many customers who would have walked all the way to the shops and to us it will mean a good income at the end of the day.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Ever since I started receiving the transfer from GiveDirectly, I have been working hard to see that my farming improved. In the last four months, I managed to construct a dairy shed for my cows equiped with food and water droughs. This to me is the biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months. My cows can now feed well with sufficient water available within reach.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I am hopeful that I would have started my small shop business. I am currently saving towards it and before long I will start the construction of a shop which will then be followed by stocking with the necessary goods.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have always wanted to ensure that my grandchild goes to school consistently. When I got the transfer, I paid his school fees and I am glad that he was allowed back to school.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to have saved and buy a sheep to rear. With this sheep, I will make an extra source of income by selling some of them in the foreseen future when their population shall have increased significantly hence an improvement in my lifestyle will be feasible.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been relying on traditional medical attendants to seek medication due to my meager income. Currently, I am feeling much better because I have been able to access health services in the nearby health facilities with the transfer. Thanks to GiveDirectly for the support and I will always be indebted to you.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to save part of the preceding transfers and buy a sheep to rear and make an extra source of income in the near future when their population shall have increased significantly.
