How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because l now have anulternative source of income which gives me additional coin to support my family and enable me to improve my life as compared to before when it was only one source of income with a lot of responsibilities. I am even able to support my son pay school fee for my grandchildren which I could not do before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Unfortunately or fortunately I do not have any new or additional goal a part from continuing with my poultry keeping and improving it to a large scale to get more profit.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my family members are now happy because they are staying in a nice spacious comfortable house of there own, they no longer stay in my first wife's house where they were not comfortable. I am also now at peace I do not get too much pressure from my spouse as she use to because of the new house. Since I built for my spouse her own house there is peace and love within my household as compared to before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months l expect to have started saving money from my farming and spend the money to start buying mechanical tools.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have always wanted to pay dowry because this was an issue between me and my in-laws. They were feeling like I had taken their daughter for granted so when I received this money, I had to pay the dowry so that I could maintain the respect and good relationship between me and my in-laws.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I would want to buy iron sheets which will help me build a good house for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have managed to pay dowry which has given me stress and I paid college fees for my daughter. We also bought food which took us for some time until harvest time.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
Apart from my earlier, I would want to build a big and spacious house.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that i have faced is not having a stable source of income that can enable me to provide for all of my family's basic needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when i get time to relax as i listen to my favourite radio program with my children after a hard day's work in the farm.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on building a new house for my second wife since she is currently forced to live in my first wife's house because i have no funds to construct for her, her own house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that i am proud of is being able to initiate a project of planting sugarcane and sweet potatoes in my parcel of land during this planting season. I am confident that upon harvesting, i will be able to generate sufficient income that will enable me take care of most of my needs.
