My additional goal in life is to buy a wire mesh to use in building a chicken coop. This is because I want to expand my poultry project and I do not want an instance where my chicken will be destroying crops on my farm.

Within the last four months, I have been able to practice timely cultivation and adopt good farming practices. For the first time, I was able to use hybrid maize seeds and enough fertilizers during planting. Due to this, I am optimistic of a good harvest that will lat us till the next harvesting season. This will enable me to reduce my daily expenditure and channel money in other income-generating activities.

In the next six months, my life will have changed. This is because I will not be buying maize flour anymore since I will have harvested enough maize from my farm. Due to this, I will be channeling the money I would otherwise use in buying maize flour to poultry keeping. Also, I will have finished building a chicken coop and increase the number of chicken. My family will at times be using eggs as vegetables since it is more nutritious and have fewer side effects on our health compared to meat.

My additional goal in life is to buy a goat for rearing. This will be an added asset in my household that I can lean on in case of a financial crisis. Apart from its shorter gestation period that leads to an increase in number within a short time, it's much affordable and it needs less attention.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I was able to practice timely cultivation this season. Apart from using a tractor for farm preparation, I applied enough fertilizers and used hybrid seeds. All this would not have been possible had it not have been for the savings that I have been saving using part of my transfers. For the first time in my life, I used a tractor for farm preparation purposes and this enabled me to make good use of the early rains. I am now hopeful of a good harvest that will last us long compared to other seasons.

In the next six months, my life will be different from how it is currently. This is because I will have bought a goat which will be an added asset that I can easily sell the offsprings and use the money to pay school fees for my children. I am optimistic that I will have paid a third of this year's school fees for my children using the savings that I will be given in our merry go round group. With this, they will be having enough time for their studies hence I believe that their grades will improve.

My life is different in that I now have a separate house that I was able to put up. Before, I only had one house which we used for all activities. This made it so uncomfortable since it was already getting small for the family. I am glad that we have a bigger house now and even whenever I have a visitor, I worry not about where the visitor would sleep. That was a big step for us.

My new goal is to buy a chicken mesh to enable me to improve my poultry farming. This helps with the security of my investment and reduce the loss that the chicken can bring on crops around the homestead.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that am happy that I was able to buy and plant hybrid maize. This has led to good produce and hopefully, we will have a good harvest. Before, I used to plant home picked seeds and most often, this led to poor produce because of the attack of diseases. I was able to also plant on time because I had the money to do so unlike before when could plant late or not plant at all for lack of funds to by seeds.

My expectation in the near future is to build my son a better house where he sleeps. He currently stays in a small mud-walled sloped house and this is uncomfortable for him staying in it and I want to ensure that he is happy. With all these plans that I have, I pray that our lifestyle gradually improves for the better.

Currently, my life is different now in that I am able to eat well and meet most of my family needs. Initially, we could skip some meals because we could not afford. We used to eat the little food we got to survive. Life has improved at the moment because we can afford to get a decent meal and our health has improved as a result of that. The money I got helped me invest and earn a few coins. My living standards have improved courtesy of Give Directly.

I am planning to start a poultry project. I am planning to start selling eggs and the cheapest way to get the eggs is by keeping chicken. My first step is to build a chicken house. I have started accumulating money to buy the building materials. I chose to start selling eggs because I can once in a, while take the eggs as food substitute for my family. I have already bought a few chicken to start with.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that we now own an extra house. Before we only had one tiny room. It was a bit uncomfortable and inefficient since this is where we did everything. When I started receiving transfers I began saving. Once the savings were enough, I bought building materials and started building the house we are living in currently. It is spacious enough to provide privacy and comfort for my family.

My next goal is to ensure I invest well and ensure I will be able to sustain myself even after Give Directly have finished their program in our village. I expect to be able to cater for my family needs and ensure they will never sleep hungry or have no clothes to put on. All these will and can be achieved if I plan well and invest the money I get from this organization. Generally I want to be financially independent.

When I look back to the last four months almost everything in our household was insufficient, talk of foodstuff, school feee for my children, farm inputs, land under cultivation, just to mention but a few, all have been in smaller quantities that we could not operate freely whenever we wanted to do anything. This trend has slowly changed to a poin where we are now. I can not bluntly say that we now hvave everything but the supply is now appreciable; Our children are feeding well, schooling with minimal disturbance, our farms are flourishing and even our household expenditure increased. In all these credit goes to GiveDirectly which has done us great. Thee transfers which we are receiving every month is much enough to change our family month after the other and we really thank God for this.

Having completed the construction of a new house in our household, a dream which was seemingly impossible, we are now motivated and sure that with minds together everything can come to pass. We have a new goal to start a poultry farming hwhich we have started by purchasing four chickens. we have a plan to construct a new poultry house compounded with a stong heads-height walls so thet we can practice a free range poultry farming withut interfereing with neighbor's farms

Over time now we have been living in an old, small, grass-thatched hut as the main house in our household. We had no plan to construct a new one were it not for the GiveDirectly to come into our village and gave us an aid. This to us was heaven sent because the first idea which came to our mind was for us to construct a new house. This so far have come to pass and it is the biggest difference in our daily life. living in a spacious house, roofed with 22 iron sheets with at least strong walls and a cleaner floor.
