How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, because of my desired to built a new house, I have not developed any new goal until I see my dream come to pass. Therefore, I used my first three transfers and bought most of my building materials that includes three and the half bundles of zinc, zinc nail, roofing nail and others. Now with my recent transfer I used a portion of the money and pay someone to cut sticks for the construction. Finally, the balance money will be spent as workmanship for the contractors. Many thanks to GiveDirectly for this life changing opportunity. I feel so excited to be one of the beneficiaries of GD program.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The past year's was difficult for my family and myself. I could hardly afford our daily meals. I decided to do farming in order to cater to our needs. Due to lack of funding my children have never been in school before. I was privileged to get enrolled on this program. I was astonished when I received the transfer. Money that I didnt have to do any work for. This is a dream come true and I'm grateful for this opportunity. Our house is not in a good condition. I want to build a new house. The fact that I'm on this program I know our lives are about to get better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I can afford good meals for my family and I can feed my children daily. With the GiveDirectly's cash program our lives will get better. I'm so thankful to God for this opportunity. GiveDirectly is changing our lives fod the better and we're thankful for it. Its very exciting.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I'm a farmer. Due to bad road conditions it's difficult to transport goods to bigger markets. Things have been hard on my family. We barely get enough to eat. Our house have been spoiled for some time now. My children have never been to school before. It's a privilege that GiveDirectly came to my village. I'm excited I got enrolled on this program. I used some of the money to pay my children tuition. I also bought zinc and some building materials to build a new house. I am saving a little amount so that when I receive rest of the transfers I can add it up to make a business. I am excited that our lives about to getter better.
