Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I now sleep in an iron roofed house that I constructed with the GiveDirectly transfers. I feel good in this house even when it is not yet complete because termites disturbed me in the hut I was sleeping , it could leak and was almost collapsing.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I became so happy when I received the transfer, I laid down the prayer mat and thanked Allah for doing for me such a wonder at my age.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying the ring beam bars, 4 bags of cement, a mattress and a pair of bed sheets, utensils ,food and a prayer mat. I paid the builders UGX 300,000 to do the whole construction works.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to build the iron-roofed house I failed to complete with Givedirectly transfers. I stay in a leaking grass thatched house, so whenever it rains the whole family members have to stand on some spots. We realise a lot of coldness which some times causes fever. My family members will have enough sleep once the iron-roofed house is complete. There may be no more constant fever within my house hold members.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My fouvrite part of the is morning hours. Iam able to connect with my God through prayers and this enriches me spiritually. I feel thereafter better to carry on with the days activities.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is poverty. I do not have enough money to enable my family fulfil some dreams like having better shelter, education and proper feeding. I struggle alot with of stress and is effecting my health.
