How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have acquired an ox that is going to help me plough my farm land come next year. I am currently hiring people's oxen for ploughing my land that is quite expensive. Furthermore, I own a motorbike that does transportation business hence generating income for buying food, paying medical bills and agriculture. previously, I didn't have a stable source of income that made providing for family a great challenge.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to build an iron roofed house. Grass is very scarce and expensive these days. Chances Knock once and I believe if I don't build a good house now, I may never be in position to do it again. I want to utilise this opportunity.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when all the members of my family wake up healthy. I feel better because there is no problem.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of farm land. I am able to cultivate because of the good history I have created for my name. I am able to borrow a piece of land and atleast plant something that can support my family. However, this also comee along with it's own charllages for example some times I can chance to get a garden far a way from home. Transport alone becomes an issue and more so, people take the advantage of the distance and steal the yiels of the crops. There is no gain in this.
