How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My household was full of inadequacies, the provision of this cash transfer through GiveDirectly provided relief to me and my household members. I used to be stressed on how to sort family problems but now that is history. Paying medical bills, tuition, feeding and accommodation had been major challenges but through the support, I can say that they are now sorted.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through giving unconditional cash transfer to the poorest of the poor that has seen many households buy animals, build houses, pay tuition for their children, to mention. I do not find any shortfall in GiveDirectly operations because there is no body complaining in my community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 240,000 for purchasing cement that I intend to use on building, I paid tuition worth UGX 300,000, I bought grass for renovating my grass thatched houses worth UGX 370,000, I lent my brother UGX 100,000. The balance of UGX 622,000, I intend to spend on starting construction work on my house.
